How do I submit a new cryptoasset to be added to CoinMarketCap?
Please review our Listing Criteria on our methodology page.
If you would like to submit a request to have a new coin/token added to CoinMarketCap, we kindly ask that you submit a request on our Request Form and select "1 - [New Listing] Add cryptoasset."
Please understand that there is no standard timeline or guaranteed outcomes for listing for new coin/token. We ask for your patience while we evaluate the request.
Due to the volume of requests that we receive on a daily basis, our content team must adhere to a strict set of criteria while deciding which new coins/tokens will be added.
We evaluate each coin/token on a case-by-case basis.
Beyond the prerequisites, we evaluate many factors when deciding on a new listing. These factors include but are not limited to:
- Community Interest – A project’s usefulness is largely a function of its adoption by its community and user base.
- Trading Volume – Trading volume and liquidity help with establishing a market price for users to acquire and sell cryptocurrencies.
- Uniqueness – It is easy to create a project by forking an existing project and changing a couple of parameters. Creating a new project with unique and interesting characteristics expands the use cases for crypto and helps the crypto ecosystem grow as a whole.
- Age of the project – Many cryptocurrencies come and go. For this reason, we prefer to list projects that have stood the test of time.
We perform our evaluation holistically and pay close attention to a multitude of factors (both quantitative and qualitative), such as the market pairs on supported exchanges, the sources of the volume, project/product development, and community engagement. We evaluate each coin/token on a case-by-case basis.
It also bears mentioning that getting listed on our site is not simply a matter of ticking off a checklist or hitting predefined thresholds. As mentioned in our methodology, "inflating trading volume, traffic, or social media metrics will not increase a project's chances of getting listed".
Please refrain from sending duplicate requests as this will not help in getting your request expedited.
Even if the cryptocurrency is not listed right away, we will continue to keep a close eye on its progress and community interest. We will monitor the trading activity/volume over a period of time to determine whether the increase can be organically sustained or was the result of artificial inducement. We prefer to see a sustained and organic increase in trading volume/activity across multiple CMC-supported exchanges before we can perform a proper evaluation. You or the project may send us additional information about the project's progress (as a new request on the online submission form) to keep us updated, especially if they have made some noteworthy progress.
However, please do not submit duplicate requests as it will not help in getting your request expedited; it will add to the request queue and may slow down the process.
Any attempt to "spam" the request form (or incite other entities into doing so on your behalf) is strongly discouraged and may result in the blacklisting of the project.
